EgyptAir Reports $53 Million Loss Amid Rising Fuel Prices and Regional Tensions
Sameh El Hefny, Egypt’s Minister of Civil Aviation, revealed that the country’s national carrier, EgyptAir, recorded losses of $53 million during April due to the impact of regional conflicts and the global surge in jet fuel prices.
Speaking during a general session of the Egyptian Senate, the minister stated that losses are expected to continue throughout May as well, with estimated losses ranging between $20 million and $23 million as a result of rising operational costs.
